Kouba is a Czech company that thanks to its experience deals with climbing equipment, creating and assembling all products in the Czech Republic. It also boasts important collaborations with well-known companies including Rock Empire and Omega Pacific for which it manufactures components or whole products. Il marchio SALEWA nasce negli anni '30 del novecento, come produttore di selle e zaini. Durante gli anni sessanta SALEWA introdusse la produzione di ramponi e dei primi chiodi da ghiaccio in commercio. In seguito SALEWA iniziò la collaborazione con Reinhold Messner e Kurt Albert, e nel 1990 fu acquisita da Oberalp che ne trasferì la sede a Bolzano.
