Wild Country’s aim is never to imitate or copy, but come up with their own solutions - and it was this logic which led to the invention of the much-loved and globally-used Friend. They went through seven years of development before finally producing the first ones in 1978, and are still making some of the highest-quality climbing equipment on the market today, all whilst still sticking to their roots in the Peak District, England.
