Rockfax Eastern Grit

The fourth edition of the Rockfax covering the eastern gritstone edges of the Peak District. With the arrival in 2001 of “Peak Gritstone East”, climbing guides changed forever - descriptions accompanied by 'old-style' line diagrams were replaced with full-colour topos with the routes marked on them; it proved to be a very effective concept. This fourth edition has been expanded into a nearly comprehensive listing of all the major routes in one of the most popular traditional climbing areas in the country including Stanage, Burbage. Millstone, Froggatt, Curbar, Birchen and Cratcliffe plus another 20 quality gritstone crags ranging from Wharncliffe in the north to Black Rocks in the south. Fully updated with many new crag photographs, new routes, grade and information changes and new maps.
All the cliffs have been rephotographed in glorious detail, every page has been redesigned and all the descriptions and grades have been checked against the UKClimbing databases and updated where appropriate. The book includes a superb set of inspiring action photographs from some renown photographers plus a plethora of graded lists.
